4th of July Fireworks

Nothing says summer quite like fireworks on the Fourth of July, and it won’t be long before we’re all gathered around lawn chairs eagerly awaiting the bombs bursting in air! Plan your perfect Fourth of July weekend in Kansas City, with incredible fireworks displays that will have you bursting with patriotic pride.

FRIDAY | JULY 1

  • Legacy Park | Lee’s Summit Legacy Blast! Gates to the park at 6:00 p.m. and fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m. Concessions, food truck vendors, face-painting, balloon artists, and inflatables for kids will be at the baseball, soccer, softball and football venues before the fireworks. New entertainment this year will include live DJs, interactive games, and selfie stations.
  • Recreation Park | Spirit of America Celebration in Raymore, Missouri. Food trucks, children’s activities, and live musical performances starting at 7:00 p.m. with a sensational firework show at dusk.
  • Smithville Lake | Fireworks display begins at dusk, approx. 9:00 p.m. at Smith’s Fork Park/campground.

SATURDAY | JULY 2

  • National WWI Museum and Memorial | Stars & Stripes Picnic Starts at 3:00 p.m., guests are welcome to picnic and browse the offerings available from over 50 local vendors. Entertainment begins at 6:00 p.m., with a fireworks display around 9:40 p.m.
  • Independence Day Celebration | Annual 4th of July celebration in Independence, Missouri. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. with food trucks available. Live music starts at 7:00 p.m. and fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m.

SUNDAY | JULY 3

  • Liberty 4th Fest | Capitol Federal Sports Complex of Liberty. Activities and food trucks begin at 6:00 p.m. with beer, water and glow items available for purchase at the Liberty Area Chamber of Commerce tent. Live music starts at 8:00 p.m. and fireworks at 10:00 p.m.

MONDAY | JULY 4

  • Corporate Woods | Overland Park Star Spangled Spectacular at Corporate Woods Founders’ Park. Food trucks and musical performances start at 6:00 p.m., with an annual fireworks display at 9:45 p.m.  
  • College Boulevard Activity Center | Red, White and Blue fireworks show in Olathe begins at 9:45 p.m.
  • Downtown Parkville | The Fourth of July Celebration in Parkville runs ALL day on July 4th. Festivities begin as early as 10:00 a.m., so you can enjoy a pancake breakfast, lots of family-friendly activities, a skydiving exhibition, and the annual 4th of July parade. Fireworks start at 9:30 p.m.
  • Gardner Celebration Park | Independence Day Festival begins at 3:00 p.m. featuring live music and food trucks. Games, inflatables, & activities start at 5:00 p.m. Fireworks begin at 10:00 p.m. A shuttle service will by provided by the city, from Gardner-Edgerton High School to the main event.
  • Worlds of Fun | ‘Celebrate America!’ all day long at Oceans and Worlds of Fun. Rides will close at 9:00 p.m. with the fireworks show beginning at 9:30 p.m.
  • Leawood City Park | ‘Celebration in the Park’ begins at 6:30 p.m. with food vendors, a giant slide, inflatables, rock wall, trampoline, and live music before the fireworks show at 9:45 p.m.
  • Red, White & Blue Springs | Larry Stewart Memorial Stadium at Blue Springs South High School hosts live music, food trucks, fireworks and more! Gates open at 6:30 p.m. Fireworks begin at 9:45 p.m.
