Supporting a Local Nonprofit

Earlier this month, members of our team attended the Summit Future Foundation’s 5th Annual Gala.

Our Silver Sponsorship pledged toward the work Summit Future Foundation is doing in Kansas City along with transitioning young adults with disabilities into our community is truly inspiring. They are not only making an impact within our community, but state and nationwide. This is a testament to the dedication of their executive leadership.

Summit Future Foundation

They are a comprehensive service provider. Focusing on:

  • assisting individuals with their personal independence at home and in their community
  • engaging individuals in inclusive social and recreational activities
  • supporting families in the process of planning for the transition from school-based services to adulthood
  • supporting those who have a goal of working in their community to obtain and maintain employment

By focusing on these four core areas of support, they provide opportunities for individuals to lead self-directed life while receiving the support they need to reach their fullest potential.

Tips of the Trade

Whether you’re buying a home for creating an investment or generational wealth, you may be quite a few steps from enjoying your home purchase.

Here’s Julie’s advice for first-time home buyers looking to embark on the journey to homeownership:

  1. Get Pre-Approved! With a pre-approval letter, you’ll be able to submit a stronger offer, experience fewer surprises and stress and how exactly how much home you can afford.

  2. Working with a lender will guide you in understanding your loan options. There are a variety of loan options and we want you to feel comfortable in making the right decision for you and your family, not only in the present but future.
  3. Address your commitment to home-buying with these questions:

    • Do I have a stable income?
    • Am I ready to commit to this home and city for at least 5 years?
    • Do I have an emergency fund that can cover at least 3 months of expenses?
  4. Think Beyond the Home. Closing costs and fees should not be a surprise! You can expect to pay 2-5% of your total loan amount.
  5.  Lastly, stick with your budget! It’s likely to experience a ton of emotion during the home-buying process. But, don’t let that drive your budget.

Julie’s commitment to providing superior customer service, combined with excellent problem-solving skills, makes the difference in potential borrowers becoming homeowners. Let Julie’s professional talent bring your dreams of home ownership to life!
